Lower edge allowance of the placket - 2 cm, lower edge allowance of the ruffle – 2 cm. ATTENTION! Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the princess seams on the back and front pieces. Overlock allowances and press towards the center.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overlock.
  3. Overlock the left side seams separately. Stitch the left seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press allowances open, press the zipper opening. Insert the zipper. Stitch the right side seam. Overlock allowance and press towards the back.
  4. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam. The left armhole is processed in two steps: front armhole, then back armhole. Similarly, process the armhole section of the ruffle.
  5. Stitch the center seam of the ruffle. Overlock allowance and press to the left side. Double-fold the lower allowance of the ruffle by 1 cm and topstitch. Place the ruffle right side up on the dress and secure along the neckline edge of the front and back. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide, length equal to the back neckline length + front neckline length + strap length. Bind the back neckline, simultaneously forming a strap, then the front neckline, forming the second strap.
  6. Stitch the center seam of the placket. Overlock allowance and press to the left side. Along the upper edge, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the placket to the bottom of the dress. Overlock allowance and press upwards.
  7. Overlock the lower edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
