FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: denim fabrics made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve hem - 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details).

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 2 pieces
    • Front - 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 4 pieces
    • Sleeve - 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces
    • Left belt part – 1 piece
    • Right belt part – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the corresponding pieces.
  2. Stitch darts on the back and front pieces. Press waist and shoulder dart allowances towards the center, bust darts – upwards.
  3. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side and overcast.
  4. Fold the belt pieces in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the long and slanted edges, trim allowances at corners. Turn the belt right side out, press.
  5. Stitch the center back seam of the neckline facing, press allowances open. Fold the neckline facing with the back, right sides together, and stitch the neckline edge, clip allowances at curves. Turn the facing to the wrong side, straighten, press.
  6. Stitch the side seams, inserting the left belt part into the left side seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  7. Overcast the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch with a double stitch.
  8. Stitch the outer front facing to the front, press allowances towards the front.
  9. Overcast the inner edge of the inner front facing. Fold the inner front facing with the outer front facing, right sides together. Stitch the bottom corner, the front edge, and stitch the shoulder seams, placing the back between the front facing pieces and inserting the right belt part according to markings. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn the front facing to the wrong side, straighten seams, press. Topstitch the allowance of the outer front facing attachment with a double stitch.
  10. Stitch sleeve seams, press allowances and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes according to notches, press allowances and overcast.
  11. Overcast the bottom edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch with a double stitch.
