FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: well-draping fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 1 button; 1 invisible zipper.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! ALL MARKINGS ARE MADE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!
- From main fabric:
- Front panel – 1 piece
- Lower front panel – 1 piece
- Back panel – 1 piece
- Lower back panel – 1 piece
- Waistband – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Waistband – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the waistband with fusible interfacing.
- Stitch the darts on the back and front skirt panels. Press the dart depths towards the center of the pieces.
- Attach the lower part of the back panel to the upper part, press seam allowances upwards and overcast. Attach the lower part of the front panel to the upper part, press seam allowances upwards and overcast.
- Stitch the right side seam. Press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Overcast the left side seams separately. Stitch the left side seam from the notch for the zipper to the bottom. Press seam allowances open. Insert the zipper.
- Attach the outer side of the waistband to the upper edge of the skirt. Trim the ends of the waistband, trim seam allowances at the corners and turn right side out. Fold under the inner edge of the waistband and topstitch into the attaching seam. Press the waistband when finished.
- Overcast the bottom edge of the skirt, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Overcast the buttonhole on the waistband. Sew on the button.
