When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Cuff - 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Flap – 2 pieces
- From fusible interfacing:
- Cuff - 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- Flap – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch bust darts (if provided by the entered bust circumference), press allowances upwards.
- Stitch shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facing on the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, smooth out, and press. Attach the facing to the shoulder seam allowances.
- Place flap pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Clip allowances at curves, turn the flap to the right side, smooth out, and press. Topstitch 0.1 cm from the edge. Serge the raw edge of the flap. Attach the flap to the front, fold down, and topstitch.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Set sleeves into open armholes, press allowances and serge. Stitch side seams simultaneously with sleeve seams, press allowances and serge.
- Stitch cuff into a loop, press allowances open. Press the cuff lengthwise in half, right side out. Attach the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve, aligning it with the wrong side of the garment. Serge allowances, fold the cuff to the right side, and press.
