CUTTER'S MUST

  • From main fabric:
    1. BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
    2. FRONT YOKE - 1 QTY
    3. LOWER FRONT PANEL - 1 QTY
    4. FLYING FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
    5. SLEEVE — 2 QTY
    6. FRONT NECK FACING – 1 QTY
    7. BACK NECK FACING – 2 QTY
  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. FRONT NECK FACING – 1 QTY
    2. BACK NECK FACING – 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to FACING pieces.
  2. Stitch shoulder and waist darts on BACK PANEL and lower FRONT PANEL pieces, press dart allowances towards the center of the pieces. Stitch bust darts on the FRONT YOKE, trim allowances to 0.5 cm, press down and overlock.
  3. On the left lower BACK PANEL, trim 5 cm along the vertical slit edge. On both lower BACK PANEL pieces, fuse the slit from the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (slit fold line). Press the left part along the slit fold line; on the right part, press only the right slit allowance (6 cm) to the wrong side. Align the pieces along the center seam and secure at the upper slit edge. Overlock the slit allowances. Stitch the center BACK PANEL edge from the mark to the slit corner. Clip the slit seam allowance corner on the right part. Press open the center seam allowances, overlock them; press the slit allowances and secure them on the right side with machine stitching. Insert the ZIPPER.
  4. Overlock the center edge of the flying panel, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Overlock the lower edge of the flying panel, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Place the flying panel onto the lower FRONT PANEL and secure along the upper and side edges. Then treat as one piece.
  5. Attach the FRONT YOKE to the lower part, press allowances towards the yoke and overlock.
  6. Stitch side and shoulder edges, press allowances towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
  7. Stitch shoulder edges of FACINGS, press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge. Place the dress with the FACING right sides together, aligning the neckline edges. Stitch the neckline edge and the FRONT PANEL opening. Clip allowances on curves, trim corners, on the FRONT PANEL opening section, trim allowance to 0.1 - 0.2 cm. Turn pieces to the right side, straighten and press. Attach the FACING to the shoulder seams and the ZIPPER tape.
  8. Stitch the SLEEVE edge, press allowances and overlock. Set in the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching NOTCHES. Press allowances and overlock.
  9. Overlock the SLEEVE hem allowance, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Overlock the dress hem allowance, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  10. Sew on decorative embellishment.
