CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve hem — 2.0 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 2 pieces
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Back yoke — 1 piece
    • Back placket — 1 piece
    • Center front – 1 piece
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Front yoke — 1 piece
    • Front placket — 1 piece
    • Sleeve - 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
    • Front neckline facing — 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
    • Front neckline facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to neckline facings.
  2. Stitch back princess seams, press allowances towards the center and serge. Attach yokes to the back, press allowances towards the yokes and serge.
  3. Serge center back edges separately. Stitch center back seam from zipper mark to hem. Press allowances open, pressing the opening for the fastener. Insert invisible zipper.
  4. Attach placket to the back, press allowances upwards and serge.
  5. Stitch front princess seams, press allowances towards the center and serge. Attach yoke to the front, press allowances towards the yoke and serge. Attach placket to the front, press allowances upwards and serge.
  6. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
  7. Stitch shoulder seams of facings, press allowances open. Serge outer edge. Place dress with facing right sides together, aligning neckline edges. Stitch neckline edge and front opening. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, trim allowance at front opening to 0.1 - 0.2 cm. Turn pieces right side out, straighten and press. Secure facing to shoulder seams and zipper tape.
  8. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Press allowances and serge.
  9. Serge bottom edge of garment and sleeve hem. Press allowances to the wrong side and topstitch.
