Cutter's Must

  • From main fabric:
    1. Back - 1 piece on fold
    2. Lower front - 2 pieces
    3. Back yoke — 1 piece
    4. Front yoke — 2 pieces
    5. Collar – 2 pieces
    6. Collar stand — 1 piece
    7. Placket — 2 pieces
  • From lace:
    1. Insert — 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    1. Collar – 1 piece
    2. Collar stand — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to the collar, collar stand, and placket pieces.
  2. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Clip seam allowances at corners. Turn the finished collar right side out and press. Insert the collar between the collar stand pieces and stitch. Start and end the stitching exactly at the marked collar stand attachment line. Trim seam allowances at curves, turn right side out, and press.
  3. Stitch the waist darts on the back and front. Press the dart depths towards the center back, trim the dart depths on the front with an overlocker and press towards the center front.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams of the yoke pieces. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Attach the yoke pieces to the insert. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the yoke. Attach the insert to the front and back. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the front and back.
  5. Overlock the lower edge of the integrated sleeve. Fold the seam allowance inwards and topstitch.
  6. Stitch the side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
  7. Place the placket and front right sides together and stitch. Turn the placket to the wrong side, fold the seam allowance of the inner placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  8. Attach the upper collar stand to the neckline, fold the raw edge of the lower collar stand inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  9. Fold the hem of the garment twice to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch.
  10. Overlock buttonholes and sew on buttons.
