Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse fusible interfacing to facings.
  2. Stitch the princess seams of the back. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center. Attach the lower back panels. Overlock seam allowances and press upwards. Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark downwards. Press open the seam allowances, pressing the slit. Insert the zipper.
  3. Stitch the princess seams of the front. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center. Attach the front insert, inserting decorative trim strip. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the center.
  4. Finish the lower edge of the flounce with bias binding. Fold the flounce in half, short side up. Place the flounce on the lower front and secure along the upper and side edges. Then treat as one piece.
  5. Attach the lower front to the front. Overlock seam allowances and press upwards.
  6. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Attach the yoke to the front strictly up to the marked stitching line. Press open and overlock seam allowances.
  7. Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press open seam allowances. Stitch the front facings strictly up to the marked stitching line. Press open seam allowances. Overlock the outer edge. Place decorative trim strip on the neckline and secure. Place the facing on the neckline and stitch. Clip seam allowances and turn facings to the wrong side. Sew the facing to the shoulder seams and the center back seam.
  8. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock seam allowances and press towards the back. Set the sleeves into the armholes according to the notches. Overlock the lower sleeve edge, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Overlock the lower edge of the blouse, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
