Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the back. Press seam allowances towards the center. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press to the left side. Stitch the shaped seam of the back, inserting decorative trim strip. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the center.
  2. Stitch and overlock the shoulder seams. Bind the neckline with knit trim strip. Overlock the upper bias edge of the front and the lower edge of the yoke. Press seam allowances to the wrong side.
  3. Cut decorative trim strip to the length of the zipper tape. Fold lengthwise with right sides together and stitch the corner. Turn right side out and press. Place the decorative trim strip on the zipper tape from the right side and secure along the edges of the tape. The stitched corner should be at the zipper pull. Place the zipper under the seam allowances of the front and yoke, secure and topstitch from the right side 0.5 mm from the zipper teeth.
  4. Stitch the shaped seams of the front, inserting decorative trim strip. Overlock the seam allowance and press away from the center.
  5. Bind the lower edge of the sleeve with bias binding. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the seam allowance. Fold the knit trim strip lengthwise in half with right sides out and press. Place the trim strip with the armhole edge from the right side and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  6. Fold the hem of the garment twice to the wrong side by 1 cm and topstitch.
