CUTTER'S MUST

  • From Main Fabric 1:
    1. BACK SIDE PANEL - 2 QTY
    2. BACK CENTER PANEL - 2 QTY
    3. FRONT SIDE PANEL – 2 QTY
    4. FRONT CENTER PANEL - 1 QTY
    5. BACK NECK FACING – 2 QTY
    6. FRONT NECK FACING – 1 QTY
  • From Main Fabric 2:
    1. BACK YOKE - 2 QTY
    2. FRONT YOKE – 2 QTY
    3. SLEEVE - 2 QTY
    4. SLEEVE FLOUNCE – 2 QTY
  • From Fusible Interfacing:
    1. BACK NECK FACING – 2 QTY
    2. FRONT NECK FACING – 1 QTY

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to FACING pieces.
  2. On both BACK CENTER PANEL pieces, fuse the vent on the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Overlock the center back edge separately on each piece, overlocking the vent simultaneously. Stitch the center back edge from the zipper mark to the edge of the vent. Clip the corner of the vent seam allowance on the right part. Press open the center seam allowances. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm and topstitch. Press the vent allowances towards the center and topstitch along the top with a machine stitch. Insert the ZIPPER.
  3. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center, and overlock. Attach the BACK YOKE to the BACK PANEL, press allowances upwards, and overlock.
  4. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center, and overlock. Attach the FRONT YOKE to the FRONT PANEL, press allowances upwards, and overlock.
  5. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the BACK PANEL and overlock.
  6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the FACINGS, press allowances open, and overlock the outer edge. Place the FACING and the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the allowances, turn the FACING to the wrong side and press. Attach the FACING to the ZIPPER tape and to the shoulder seams.
  7. Stitch the FLOUNCE edge, press allowances open and overlock. Stitch the SLEEVE edge, press allowances and overlock. Attach the FLOUNCE to the SLEEVE, press allowances towards the SLEEVE and overlock. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching NOTCHES, press allowances and overlock. Overlock the lower edge of the FLOUNCE, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. Overlock the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
