- From main fabric:
- Center back with flounce - 2 pieces
- Side back with flounce - 2 pieces
- Center front - 1 piece
- Side front - 2 pieces
- Upper front – 2 pieces
- Lower front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve — 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
- From lining fabric:
- Side front — 2 pieces (cut according to main fabric piece)
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the panel seams of the back. Press the seam allowances towards the center and overlock. Overlock the center edges separately on each piece. Stitch from the notch to the bottom. Press the seam allowances open, pressing the slit for the zipper. Insert the zipper.
- Cut (if not pre-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the back neckline length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the trim strip along the neckline edge on the right side and stitch. Clip the seam allowances. Fold the trim strip to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
- Fold the upper front pieces wrong sides together and stitch the upper edge. Turn right side out and press. Attach the upper front pieces to the center front. Overlock the seam allowances and press downwards.
- Stitch the back neckline with facings.
- Stitch the shoulder seams, inserting the front between the back and the back facing. Press the seam allowances, overlock. Turn the facing to the wrong side.
- Overlock the shoulder seams of the lining. Stitch the panel seam of the front, inserting the center piece between the side and the lining. Fold the lining to the wrong side, secure it along the edges with the main piece, and then treat as one piece.
- On the lower front, create and secure the pleats. Attach the lower piece to the front. Overlock the seam allowance and press upwards.
- Stitch the side seams. Overlock the seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the seam allowance and press towards the back. Insert the sleeve into the armhole. Overlock the seam allowance.
- Overlock the hem of the garment and sleeves, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
