Fitted Collared Dress with Flounce

• From LINING fabric:
1. Upper BACK PANEL - 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

1. Stitch the waist darts on the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL pieces. Press the dart depths towards the center. Stitch the pleats on the upper FRONT PANEL, press the depths away from the center.
2. Stitch the upper and lower BACK PANEL pieces together. Overlock the SEAM ALLOWANCES and press them upwards.
3. Overlock the center back seam separately on each piece. Stitch the center back seam from the ZIPPER mark downwards. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slit for the ZIPPER. Insert the ZIPPER.
4. Fold the FLOUNCE with the LINING, right sides together, and stitch the lower edge. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves. Turn the piece right side out and press. Press the pleats according to the markings. Place the FLOUNCE on the lower FRONT PANEL and secure it along the upper and side edges.
5. Stitch the upper and lower FRONT PANEL pieces together. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES upwards and overlock them.
6. Stitch the side and shoulder seams. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overlock them.
7. Fold the COLLAR piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the ends. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the corners, turn the COLLAR right side out, and press. Attach the COLLAR to the neckline.
8. On the LINING pieces, stitch and press the darts. Stitch the shoulder and side seams, pressing the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL. Overlock the lower and center edges. Fold the LINING with the neckline, right sides together (the COLLAR is positioned between the main fabric and the LINING). Fold back the LINING 5 mm from the edges of the concealed fastener and pin it to the upper edge of the dress. On the right side of the dress, fold back the SEAM ALLOWANCES along the ZIPPER and pin them to the neckline edge over the LINING. Stitch the neckline edge, clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves. Turn the piece right side out and press. Attach the LINING to the armhole in two steps: first the FRONT PANEL, then the BACK PANEL. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves, press. Turn under the center edge of the LINING and attach it to the ZIPPER tape. Secure the LINING to the garment at the waist seam.
9. Overlock the hem allowance of the dress, press it to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
10. Sew a hook and eye to the lower COLLAR, 1 cm from the COLLAR attachment seam. Tip: The dress is recommended to be worn with a belt.
