Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for sleeve bottom – 2 cm, garment bottom – 1.5 cm, other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) to determine how much material you will need. Attention! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.
- From main fabric:
- Center front – 1 piece on fold
- Center back – 2 pieces
- Sleeve - 2 pieces
- Side front - 2 pieces
- Side back - 2 pieces
- Peplum – 1 piece on fold
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch the princess seams on the front and back. Overlock the seams and press them towards the center of the front and back, respectively.
- Stitch the shoulder seams. Press the seams towards the back and overlock.
- Cut a bias binding equal to the length of the neckline. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge, right sides together, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Overlock the sleeve hem, fold inwards, and topstitch. Set the sleeve into the armhole, matching notches. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge, right sides together, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
- Stitch the side seams. Press the seams towards the back and overlock.
- Attach the peplum to the bottom edge of the blouse. Overlock the allowances and press upwards. Overlock the center back edges. Stitch the section on the peplum piece from the mark downwards. Insert the invisible zipper into the center back seam.
- Press the peplum hem allowance to the wrong side, overlock, and topstitch.
