Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: Medium stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. You will also need: elastic 1 cm wide.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance – 2 cm, sleeve hem and neckline allowance - 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED. WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Upper front part – 1 piece
  • Upper back part – 2 pieces
  • Middle front part – 1 piece
  • Middle back part – 2 pieces
  • Lower front part – 1 piece
  • Lower back part – 2 pieces

Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.

Sewing Instructions

1. Attach the middle back part to the upper part. Overlock the seam and press it downwards. Attach the lower part to the back. Overlock the seam and press it downwards.
2. Attach the middle front part to the upper part. Overlock the seam and press it downwards. Attach the lower part to the front. Overlock the seam and press it downwards.
3. Stitch the center back seam. Overlock the allowance and press it to the left side.
4. Stitch the shoulder seams and the upper sleeve seams. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the back. Stitch the side seam and the lower sleeve seam. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the back.
5. Overlock the neckline edge. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch.
6. Overlock the lower sleeve edge, fold the allowance inwards and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread the elastic through the casing and secure the ends.
7. Overlock the lower edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
