Key Design Features

Silhouette: a relaxed blouson silhouette, gathered at the empire waist with flattering fullness draped over.

Neckline: a high neckline that extends into a tie-front closure, allowing for adjustable styling.

Sleeves: Sleeveless design with neatly finished armholes for a clean and comfortable fit.

Waist: An elasticated waistline creates a cinched effect, enhancing the blouson drape above it.

Fabric Recommendations

  • Silk fabrics (natural or blended fibers)

Additional Supplies

  • 0.7 cm wide elastic tape

Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, they include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance 1.5 cm; lower allowances of upper parts 1.5 cm; upper allowances of lower parts 1.5 cm; lower edges of lining 1.5 cm; other allowances 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need.

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper front – 1 piece with fold
    • Upper back – 2 pieces
    • Lower front – 1 piece with fold
    • Lower back – 2 pieces
    • Front lining - 1 piece with fold
    • Back lining – 2 pieces
    • Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  1. Stitch darts on lining pieces. Press depths towards the center.
  2. Overlock the center edges of the upper back and back lining. Stitch edges from notch downwards. Press allowances open. Along the cuts of the top and lining, stitch 0.2 from the edge.
  3. Stitch shoulder and side edges of the upper blouse parts. Press allowances towards the back. Stitch shoulder and side edges of the blouse lining. Press allowances towards the front. Face the blouse armhole with lining in 2 steps: First the front armhole, then the back armhole. Clip allowances and turn right side out.
  4. Along the lower edge and neckline edge of the upper front, stitch with loosely tensioned threads and gather. Secure the upper to the lining at the neckline and lower edge.
  5. Face the collar ends, trim corners and turn right side out. Clip allowances of the outer collar edge at the mark for the start of attachment to the neckline. Attach the outer collar edge to the neckline. Fold the allowance of the inner collar edge to the wrong side and topstitch into the seam of attaching the upper collar edge.
  6. Stitch the center edge of the lower back parts. Overlock the allowance and press to the left side. Stitch side edges. Overlock allowances and press towards the back.
  7. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the blouse. Overlock allowances, direct downwards and topstitch, forming a casing (leave a 2 cm opening near the left side seam). Thread elastic through the casing and secure ends.
  8. Overlock the lower edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press and topstitch.
