Cutting Plan

  • From main fabric:
  • 1. Front Bodice Upper – 1 piece
  • 2. Back – 2 pieces
  • 3. Front Bodice Lower – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the center back seam. Finish the seam allowance and press to the left.
  2. Along the center of the upper front bodice, sew a row with elastic thread. Along the upper edge of the lower front bodice, between the marks, sew a row with loosely tensioned stitches and gather. Attach the lower front bodice to the upper front bodice. Finish the seam allowance and press.
  3. Stitch the side seam and sleeve seam in one continuous step. Finish the seam allowance and press towards the back. Stitch the right shoulder seam. Finish the seam allowance and press towards the back.
  4. Cut a bias binding strip equal to the neckline length. Fold the binding strip in half lengthwise and press. Align the neckline edge with the raw edges of the bias binding and stitch. Turn the binding to the wrong side and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
  5. Stitch the left shoulder seam. Finish the seam allowance and press towards the back.
  6. Fold the sleeve hem twice by 1.5 cm and topstitch.
  7. Finish the bottom edge of the garment. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
