Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Fuse interlining to the designated pieces.
- Stitch the princess seams of the lower back, press allowances towards the center, serge. Stitch the center seam of the lower back, press allowances to the left side, serge.
- Stitch the upper and lower back parts, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Stitch the darts on the upper front pieces, press dart depths towards the center, trim to 1 cm and serge.
- Stitch the princess seams of the lower front, press allowances towards the center, serge.
- Stitch the upper and lower front parts, press allowances upwards and serge.
- Serge the outer edge of the front facings. Place the front facing onto the garment right sides together and stitch the front edge, notch, neckline edge of the back and front, without catching the center seam of the collar. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners, turn the front facing to the wrong side, smooth out, press. Fold the right side of the collar inwards to the allowance width, insert the left side of the collar into it and topstitch along the center seam, press.
- Serge the outer edge of the back facing. Place the facing onto the back and stitch the upper edge. Start and end the stitching exactly at the marked side seam line.
- Stitch the side seams, inserting the front between the back and the back facing, press allowances towards the back and serge. Turn the facing to the wrong side, press.
- Serge the hem allowance of the dress, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- On the right front, make buttonholes, on the left front, sew on buttons.
