CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance - 3 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical parts).

  • From main fabric:
    • Center back – 2 pieces
    • Side back – 2 pieces
    • Side front – 2 pieces
    • Center front – 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces. Fuse interfacing to the area for the right buttonhole on the front.
  2. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center, serge. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left, serge.
  3. Stitch bust darts, press depths upwards. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center, serge.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
  5. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 5 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge right sides together and stitch. Clip allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
  6. Stitch side seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
  7. Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing. Press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place front facings right sides together with the garment and stitch the front edge and neckline. Trim allowances at corners, clip curves, turn pieces right side out, press.
  8. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and hem with blind stitches.
  9. On the right front, make buttonholes, on the left front, sew on buttons.
