CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Back yoke – 1 piece
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Front yoke – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand — 2 pieces
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Collar stand – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Fold collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Trim seam allowances at corners. Turn the finished collar stand right side out and press.
  3. Cut four ties 4 cm wide and 30 cm long. Press the strip lengthwise in half, right side out. Then unfold and press the raw edges towards the center. Fold the tie along the center line and topstitch along the edge.
  4. Along the upper edge of the back, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the back yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
  5. Along the upper edge of the front, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the front yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and serge.
  6. Stitch the center front seam from the mark to the bottom edge, clip seam allowances at the mark, press to the left side and serge. Stitch the center front facing seam from the mark to the bottom, press seam allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the front facing on the front right sides together, insert ties at the yoke and neckline, and stitch the neckline. Turn the front facing to the wrong side, smooth out, and press. Secure to the front at the shoulder seams and neckline.
  7. Stitch shoulder seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  8. Stitch the outer collar stand to the neckline, press seam allowances towards the collar stand. Turn under the raw edge of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the seam.
  9. Serge the upper edge of the sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Clip the seam allowance of the lower sleeve edge at the marks. Serge the section between the marks, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam from the armhole to the mark, press seam allowances, and serge.
  10. Stitch side seams, press seam allowances towards the back and serge.
  11. Along the front and back sleeve caps from the mark to the upper edge, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the sleeve into the armhole, press seam allowances and serge.
  12. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
