FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: dense blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing; 6 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance at the bottom edge of the garment – 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front – 2 pieces
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Collar — 2 pieces on fold
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Collar — 1 piece on fold
    • Back neckline facing – 1 piece
    • Front facing – 2 pieces
    • Cuff – 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back, serge.
  3. Place collar pieces right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn the finished collar right side out, shape, and press. Attach the collar to the neckline.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams of front facings and back neckline facing, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place front facing right sides together with the garment and stitch along the front edges and back neckline. Clip allowances, turn front facings to the wrong side, shape, and press. Secure to the garment at the shoulder seams.
  5. Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Along the sleeve cap and bottom edge, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather.
  6. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and serge.
  7. Stitch cuff into a loop, press allowances open. Fold cuff in half lengthwise right side out and press. Attach the outer cuff to the bottom of the sleeve, press allowances towards the cuff. Fold the allowance of the inner cuff inwards and topstitch into the seam.
  8. Serge the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  9. Make buttonholes on the right front. Sew buttons on the left front.
