Sewing Instructions
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlocker.
- Place the pocket on the front, right side down, and stitch the pocket openings from the bottom to the marked pocket attachment line. Turn the pocket to the wrong side. Stitch securing lines along the pocket opening from the top to the lower arrow mark. On the side part of the front, clip the allowance at the corner. Place the front on the front side panel, aligning the raw edges. Stitch and overcast the upper edge of the pocket. Stitch the front's princess seam. Overcast the allowances and press them towards the center. Topstitch along the princess seam from the top to the upper arrow mark. Topstitch the pocket section to the side panel from the lower arrow mark to the bottom. Make transverse bar tacks at the arrow marks.
- Attach the front sleeve part to the front. Overcast the allowance, press it towards the front, and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam. Attach the back sleeve part to the back. Overcast the allowance, press it towards the back, and topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam. Attach the insert to the front and back. Overcast the allowances and press them towards the insert. Topstitch.
- Stitch the collar into a loop. Fold it in half lengthwise and attach it to the neckline, slightly stretching the collar. The seam is located at the left shoulder seam. Overcast the allowance and press it towards the main piece. Stitch the side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Overcast the allowances and press them towards the back.
- Stitch the cuff into a loop. Press the allowances open. Fold the stitched cuff in half. Attach it to the bottom of the sleeve, slightly stretching the cuff.
- Stitch the placket into a loop. Fold it in half lengthwise and attach it to the bottom of the garment, slightly stretching the placket. The seam is located at the left side seam. Overcast the allowance.
