Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: low-stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: rib knit or high-stretch knit fabric.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams - 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).
- From main fabric:
- Back - 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve — 2 pieces
- From main fabric 1:
- Bottom facing – 1 piece on fold
- Cuff – 2 pieces
- Neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Along the armhole edge of the front and back sleeve, from the mark to the neckline, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather.
- Attach the sleeve to the back, press seam allowances towards the sleeve and overcast. Attach the sleeve to the front, press seam allowances towards the sleeve and overcast.
- Stitch the sleeve seam simultaneously with the side seam, press seam allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Stitch the neckline facing into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the facing in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the facing to the neckline, stretching slightly. Press and overcast seam allowances.
- Along the bottom of the sleeve, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Stitch the cuff into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the cuff to the bottom of the sleeve. Press and overcast seam allowances.
- Stitch the bottom facing into a loop, press seam allowances open. Fold the facing in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the facing to the bottom of the garment, positioning the seam under the left side seam and stretching slightly. Press and overcast seam allowances.
