FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interfacing, 7 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEN THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THEN THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) IN ORDER TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Upper center back part - 2 pieces
    • Upper side back part - 2 pieces
    • Lower back part - 1 piece with fold
    • Upper center front part - 2 pieces
    • Upper side front part - 2 pieces
    • Lower front part - 2 pieces
    • Placket – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand — 2 pieces
    • Collar – 2 pieces
    • Upper sleeve part — 2 pieces
    • Lower sleeve part — 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Placket – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand — 1 piece
    • Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Interface details with fusible interfacing.
  2. Stitch the center back seam, press allowances to the left side, overcast. Stitch the back princess seams, press allowances towards the center, overcast. Stitch the upper and lower back parts, press allowances upwards, overcast.
  3. Stitch the front princess seams, press allowances towards the center, overcast. Stitch the upper and lower front parts, press allowances upwards, overcast.
  4. Fold the placket piece in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Stitch the outer side of the placket to the front, press allowances onto the placket. Turn the allowance of the inner side of the placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
  5. Stitch shoulder and side seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
  6. Fold the upper collar with the lower, right sides together, stitch the ends and the outer edge of the collar. Trim seams, turn the collar right side out, shape and press. Fold the collar stand pieces right sides together, insert the finished collar between them, align notches and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the stand. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line of the collar stand attachment seam. Turn the finished collar right side out and press. Stitch the upper collar stand with the collar to the neckline, turn under the open edge of the lower collar stand and topstitch into the attachment seam of the upper collar stand.
  7. Stitch the seam of the upper sleeve part, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Stitch the seam of the lower sleeve part, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Stitch the upper and lower sleeve parts, press allowances upwards and overcast.
  8. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
  9. Overcast the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
  10. On the right front, overcast buttonholes, on the left – sew on buttons. Overcast buttonholes and sew on buttons on the collar stand.
