Cutter's Must

If the patterns have a double contour, the patterns include seam allowances. If the contour is single, the patterns do not include seam allowances. Seam allowances: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. Attention! First of all, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces).

From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece (cut on fold)
- Front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Collar – 2 pieces
- Casing – 1 piece (cut on fold)
From fusible interfacing:
- Collar – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

Fuse interfacing to one Collar piece (the under collar). Also fuse the cut-in-one placket of each Front.
Stitch the bust darts and press the dart intakes upwards.
Press the cut-in-one placket of the Front to the wrong side along the front edge line. Turn under the long raw edge of the placket and topstitch the placket to the Front.
Stitch the shoulder and side seams, press the seam allowances towards the Back and serge.
Place the upper collar and the under collar right sides together, stitch the ends and the outer edge of the Collar. Start and end the stitching exactly at the marked neckline seam line. Trim the seams, turn the Collar right side out, straighten and press. Stitch the under collar to the neckline, turn under the open edge of the upper collar and topstitch it over the attaching seam.
Serge the seam allowances of the short ends of the Casing, press them to the wrong side and topstitch. Press the seam allowances of the long edges of the Casing to the wrong side. Place the Casing on the right side of the garment along the markings and topstitch.
Stitch the sleeve seam, press the seam allowances towards the back and serge. Set the Sleeves into the armholes, press the seam allowances and serge.
Turn up the hem of the garment and the sleeves by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
Make buttonholes on the right Front and sew buttons on the left Front.
Cut a bias strip for the tie from the main fabric, 4 cm wide and as long as your waist measurement + 50 cm. Fold the strip in half lengthwise and press. Open it out, press both long raw edges in to the center crease, fold again and topstitch along the edge. Thread the tie through the Casing.
