FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: elastic tape 0.3 – 0.7 cm wide; 1 button.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THE PATTERNS INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve – 2 cm; other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical parts). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece with fold
  • Front - 1 piece with fold
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Collar — 1 piece with fold

Sewing Instructions

1. Lay the front pleats and secure them along the neckline edge.
2. Make a slit on the back. Cut a bias binding for finishing the back slit, equal to twice the slit length + 4 cm and 5 cm wide. Press the binding lengthwise in the middle with the right side out. Lay the back along the slit line in a straight line, place the binding on the right side, aligning the edges, and stitch. The seam allowance along the slit length is 0.5 – 0.7 cm, decreasing to 0.2 cm at the bottom of the slit. Fold the binding to the wrong side, wrapping around the seam, and topstitch into the attachment seam.
3. Stitch the shoulder and side edges of the back and front, press the allowances towards the back and overcast.
4. Cut a bias strip 2.5 cm wide and 10 cm long for the loop. Fold the strip lengthwise in the middle with the right side in and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim the allowances close to the stitching, turn the strip out and straighten the loop. Adjust the loop length. Sew the loop to the left side of the back.
5. Overcast the upper edge of the collar, fold inwards and topstitch. Alternatively, the edge can be finished with bias binding, for which the allowance needs to be trimmed. Overcast the middle edges, fold inwards and topstitch. Along the lower edge, make a stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the collar to the neckline. Overcast the allowances and press towards the main garment. Make a securing stitch on the right side 0.5 cm from the seam.
6. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overcast the allowances and press towards the back. Along the sleeve cap, make a stitch with loosened upper thread and gather slightly. Set the sleeve into the armhole. Overcast the allowances and press towards the main garment.
7. Fold the bottom of the garment and sleeve inwards by 1 cm, then another 1 cm, and topstitch.
8. Sew the button to the right side of the back.
9. Adjust the length of the elastic tape. Stitch the tape into a ring. Attach the elastic tape to the sleeve, stretching slightly.
