Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Along the neckline edge of the front piece, stitch with a loosened top thread and gather.
- Press the placket pieces lengthwise in half, right side out. Overcast buttonholes on the right placket. Stitch plackets to the right side of the front piece. Clip the front piece allowance at the corners, stopping 0.1 cm from the stitching line. Tuck the ends of the plackets inwards, overlapping the right placket over the left, and stitch, securing the bottom edge. Overcast allowances.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overcast.
- Fold the neckline facing pieces right sides together and stitch along the outer contour. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked seam line for attachment. Clip allowances at curves, turn the facing right side out and press.
- Stitch the outer part of the neckline facing to the neckline, press allowances towards the facing. Turn under the raw edge of the inner facing and topstitch into the attachment seam.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and overcast. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and overcast.
- Overcast the allowance of the garment's bottom edge and sleeve hem, press to the wrong side and topstitch, forming a casing. Thread elastic tape through the casing, secure.
- Overcast a buttonhole on the right side of the neckline facing. Sew a button on the left side.
