Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: dress fabrics with elastane content from natural or blended fibers in contrasting or matching colors. Finishing fabric for external facings. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: fusible interlining; concealed zipper; embroidery or decorative fabric for the upper facing.
CUTTER'S MUST
IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm. Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment – 1.5 cm. Sleeve hem allowance - 1.2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical details). Attention! External neckline facings are cut from finishing fabric, and internal ones from main fabric.

- Side back part - 2 pieces
- Side front part - 2 pieces
- Sleeve - 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing - 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- From main fabric 2:
- Front neckline facing - 1 piece
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- From main fabric 3:
- Center front part – 1 piece on fold
- From fusible interlining:
- Back neckline facing – 2 pieces
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- Fuse interlining to the relevant pieces.
- Stitch the back princess seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the center. Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Press allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
- Stitch the front princess seams. Overlock allowances and press towards the center.
- Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the facings, press allowances open. Overlock the outer edge of the internal facings.
- Place facings right sides together and stitch the neckline. Clip allowances, turn right side out and press. Stitch the external facing to the dress neckline, clipping the allowance at the corner. Press allowances towards the facing. Topstitch the allowance of the internal facing to the seam of the external facing. Attach the facing to the zipper tape.
- Stitch the sleeve seam, overlock allowance and press towards the back. Along the upper part of the sleeve cap, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Set the sleeve into the armhole, overlock allowance and press.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
