Tech. Description

Crossover V-Neck Puffed Sleeve Blouse

A women's pull-on blouse at hip length with a V-neck at front and back, edged by two crossing faced bands, and short puffed sleeves of two layers drawn in with elastic thread at the hem.

When To Wear

  • In spring and summer with skirts or trousers.
  • Tucked into a high-waisted skirt for day events.

Key Design Features

Silhouette: Semi-fitted, with bust darts on the front.

Length: Hip length.

Neckline: V-neck at front and back. Two separate interfaced bands (right and left), each sewn double, are layered with the right band inside the left, then turned to the outside and topstitched 0.5 cm onto the blouse, so the two bands show as a crossed double edge.

Sleeves: Short puffed set-in sleeves, each of an outer and an inner layer joined at the lower edge; elastic thread is stitched along that seam, and the cap is gathered.

Front: One piece cut on the fold, with bust darts pressed upwards.

Back: One piece cut on the fold, with no seam.

Closure: None; goes on over the head.

Finishing: Hem double-turned 1 cm and topstitched.

Level Of Difficulty

Intermediate. Layered neckline bands that must meet at the V points, double-layer sleeves with elastic-thread shirring and gathered sleeve caps.

Fabric Recommendations

Blouse or dress fabrics made from natural or blended fibres.
