Cutter's Must

When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back yoke – 4 pieces
    • Upper back – 2 pieces
    • Back side – 2 pieces
    • Lower back – 2 pieces
    • Front yoke - 2 pieces
    • Upper front – 1 piece on fold
    • Front side – 2 pieces
    • Lower front – 1 piece on fold

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the princess seams on the back pieces. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the center.
  2. Stitch the dart on the front. Trim the depth with an overlocker and press it upwards. Attach the front side to the front. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the center.
  3. Stitch the side seams. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the back.
  4. Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the armhole length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right sides out, and press. Place the binding with the armhole edge, right sides together, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the wrong side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold onto the main piece. Press the seam.
  5. Place the back yokes right sides together and stitch the shaped sleeve edge, shoulder seam, and neckline. Clip the allowance at the lower mark. Clip the allowances at the curves, turn the piece right side out, and press. Secure the center and lower edges. Then treat as one piece.
  6. Place the front yokes right sides together and stitch the shaped sleeve edge, shoulder seam, and neckline. Clip the allowance at the lower mark. Clip the allowances at the curves, turn the piece right side out, and press. Secure the lower edges. Then treat as one piece.
  7. Attach the yokes to the back and front. Clip the allowances, overlock, and press downwards.
  8. Stitch the side seams of the lower parts. Overlock the allowances and press them towards the back. Stitch the upper and lower parts of the dress. Overlock the allowance and press it upwards.
  9. Overlock the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the bottom. Overlock the allowances and press them open. Insert the concealed zipper.
  10. Overlock the bottom edge of the product, press it to the wrong side, and topstitch.
  11. Sew beads along the shoulder seam, joining the front and back yoke pieces butt-to-butt. Sew beads on the horizontal princess seam according to the marks.
