Ruffled Sleeve Gathered Yoke Blouse

Fabric recommendations: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. A striped pattern is recommended.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS ARE WITHOUT SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: all seams 1 cm; hem allowance – 2.0 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90cm to 150cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (don't forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Attention! When cutting, pay attention to the grainline direction.

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece on fold
  • Front - 1 piece on fold
  • Front Yoke - 1 piece on fold
  • Back Yoke - 1 piece on fold
  • Cuff - 2 pieces

Sewing Instructions

1. Along the upper edge of the front between the marks, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Distribute the gathers closer to the center. Attach the front yoke to the front. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
2. Along the upper edge of the back between the marks, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Distribute the gathers closer to the center. Attach the back yoke to the back. Overlock the seam allowance and press it upwards.
3. Stitch the right shoulder seam, press allowances towards the back and overlock.
4. Cut (if not ready-made) a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge, right side facing, and stitch. Clip the allowances. Fold the binding to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
5. Stitch the right shoulder seam, press allowance towards the back and overlock.
6. Stitch the side seams, simultaneously with the sleeve edge. Press allowances towards the back and overlock.
7. Stitch the cuff into a loop. Press the allowance open. Press the cuff in half lengthwise, right side out. Along the open edge, stitch with loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the cuff to the sleeve. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the sleeve.
8. Overlock the hem allowance of the garment, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
