- From main fabric:
- Yoke – 1 piece
- Upper back – 1 piece with fold
- Lower back – 1 piece with fold
- Back ruffle – 1 piece with fold
- Upper front – 2 pieces
- Lower front – 2 pieces
- Front ruffle – 2 pieces
- Armhole flounce – 2 pieces
- Neckline flounce – 1 piece
- Belt – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
- Along the upper edge of the upper back, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the back, press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Along the upper edge of the upper front, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the yoke to the front, press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Overlock the outer and short edges of the neckline flounce, press to the wrong side and topstitch. (Alternatively, they can be finished with a narrow rolled hem, after trimming the seam allowance). Along the inner edge of the neckline flounce, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the flounce to the back and front neckline (the flounce is shorter by the width of the waist allowances), press seam allowances towards the main garment and overlock. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Overlock the outer edge of the armhole flounce, press to the wrong side and topstitch. (Alternatively, it can be finished with a narrow rolled hem, after trimming the seam allowance). Along the inner edge of the armhole flounce, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the flounce to the back and front armhole, press seam allowances towards the main garment and overlock. Topstitch 0.5 cm from the seam.
- Stitch the upper and lower back parts together, press seam allowances upwards and overlock. Along the upper edge of the back ruffle, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the back ruffle to the lower back, press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Stitch the upper and lower front parts together, press seam allowances upwards and overlock. Overlock the upper edge of the front ruffle, press to the wrong side and topstitch. Along the inner edge of the front ruffle, stitch with a loosened upper thread and gather. Attach the front ruffle to the lower front (the ruffle is shorter by the width of the waist allowance), press seam allowances upwards and overlock.
- Stitch the side edges, press seam allowances towards the back and overlock.
- Overlock the hem allowance of the garment bottom, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
- Overlock buttonholes on the front. Sew on the outer and inner buttons.
- Fold the belt lengthwise in half, right sides together, and stitch, leaving an opening on the long side for turning. Turn the belt right side out, straighten, and press. Sew the opening closed. Determine the center of the belt, place it on the right side seam and topstitch.
