V-Neck Blouse with Roll-Up Sleeves

Pattern #2329
Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

FABRIC RECOMMENDATIONS: blouse fabrics made of natural or blended fibers. ALSO NEEDED: fusible interfacing; 2 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, THEY INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, THE PATTERNS DO NOT INCLUDE SEAM ALLOWANCES. SEAM ALLOWANCES: Hem allowance for the bottom of the garment and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams – 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST OF ALL, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to consider paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!

  • From main fabric:
    • Back - 1 piece on fold
    • Front - 1 piece on fold
    • Sleeve – 2 pieces
    • Front insert – 2 pieces
    • Tab – 2 pieces
    • Collar stand – 2 pieces
  • From fusible interfacing:
    • Front insert – 1 piece
    • Collar stand – 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
  2. Place the front insert pieces right sides together and stitch the neckline and neckline opening, tapering the stitching to nothing. Clip the allowances, turn the inner insert to the wrong side and press.
  3. Attach the front insert to the front, clipping the front allowance at the corner. Overlock the allowance.
  4. Stitch the shoulder seams. Overlock the allowances and press towards the back.
  5. Overlock the bottom allowances of the back and front. Fold the allowances inwards and topstitch.
  6. Stitch the side allowances, press towards the back and overlock.
  7. Place the collar stands right sides together and stitch the upper edge. Clip the allowances, turn right side out and press. Stitch the upper collar stand into the neckline, fold under the raw edge of the lower collar stand and topstitch into the seam of the upper collar stand.
  8. Fold the tabs in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long and short edges. Turn right side out, trimming allowances at corners, straighten and press. Overlock the raw short edge. Topstitch the tabs to the wrong side of the sleeves according to the markings.
  9. Stitch the sleeve seam. Overlock the allowance and press towards the back. Set the sleeves into the armholes, press and overlock the allowances.
  10. Overlock the sleeve hem, fold inwards and topstitch.
  11. Work buttonholes and sew buttons onto the tabs.
