Fabric & Materials
Fabric recommendations: medium to high stretch knit fabric made from natural or blended fibers. Also needed: knit fusible interfacing. IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED; IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: hem allowance for the garment and sleeve hem – 1.5 cm, other seams 1 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED.

WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing:
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front neckline facing – 1 piece
Sewing Instructions
Tip: Knit fabric pieces are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim seam allowances to 0.6 – 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity.
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces.
- Stitch side and shoulder seams, press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Stitch shoulder seams of neckline facings, press allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place facing and garment right sides together, stitch the neckline edge. Clip allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn right side out, straighten, press. Topstitch along the neckline at 0.5 cm to secure.
- Stitch sleeve seam, press allowances towards the back and serge. Set sleeves into armholes, press allowances and serge.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve hems, press to the wrong side and topstitch.
