Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, seam allowances are not included. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 1.2 cm, other seams - 1.0 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Back – 2 pieces
- Stand Collar – 2 pieces
- Armhole binding – 2 bias strips, 4 cm wide, armhole length + 4 cm (cut by measurement)
- From fusible interfacing:
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to one Stand Collar piece.
- Stitch the center back seam of the Back pieces. Overlock the allowances and press them to the left side.
- Along the upper edge of the Front, from the mark to the neckline, sew a line of long stitches with loosened upper thread tension and pull up the gathers. Stitch the cut-on yoke of the Back to the Front. Overlock the allowance and press it towards the yoke.
- Slash the Front along the center from the neckline to the mark. Clip the allowance diagonally into the corners, stopping 1 mm short of the stitching. Clip the neckline allowance at the mark. Overlock the shaped neckline edges up to the mark. Place the zipper on the right side of the front, face down. Stitch the zipper along both long sides, then turn the zipper to the wrong side. Secure the triangle at the bottom corner from the wrong side. Topstitch along the zipper 0.5 cm from the edge of the teeth.
- Place the Stand Collar pieces right sides together and stitch the short sides and the upper edge, starting and ending the stitching strictly at the marked neckline attachment line. Clip the allowances, trim at the corners.
- Fold each armhole binding strip in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Place the binding along the armhole edge on the right side, leaving tails at the ends, and stitch. Turn the binding to the wrong side, clip the seam allowances, and topstitch along the fold to the garment. Press the seam.
- Overlock the bottom edge of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Stitch the side seams, press the allowances towards the back and overlock.
