Cutter's Must
If the patterns have a double contour, seam allowances are included. If the contour is single, the patterns are without seam allowances. Seam allowances: hem allowance – 1.5 cm, sleeve hem – 1.2 cm, other seams 1 cm. Attention! First, print out the paper patterns and lay them out on the fabric width (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) to determine how much material you will need. When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- From main fabric:
- Back – 2 pieces
- Front – 1 piece on fold
- Sleeve — 2 pieces
Sewing Instructions
- Stitch shoulder seams. Press allowances towards the back and serge.
- Cut a bias binding 4 cm wide and a length equal to the neckline length + 4 cm. Fold the bias binding in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the binding with the neckline edge on the wrong! side, leaving tails, and stitch. Fold the binding to the right! side, clip the seams, and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam. Alternatively, you can bind the neckline with bias binding (binding length is indicated on the back pattern piece). In this case, the neckline allowance should be trimmed to 0 cm.
- Serge the center back edges separately. Stitch the center back seam from the zipper mark to the hem. Press the center seam allowances open. Insert the concealed zipper.
- Serge the bottom allowances of the front and back, fold to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- Stitch side seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
- Serge the sleeve hem, fold inwards, and topstitch. Stitch the sleeve seam. Serge the allowance and press towards the back. Set the sleeve into the armhole, matching marks. Serge the allowance.
