Tech. Description

Fabric & Materials

Fabric recommendations: well-draping knit fabric with medium stretch from natural or blended fibers. YOU WILL ALSO NEED: 3 buttons.

CUTTER'S MUST

IF THE PATTERNS HAVE A DOUBLE CONTOUR, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE INCLUDED. IF THE CONTOUR IS SINGLE, SEAM ALLOWANCES ARE NOT INCLUDED. SEAM ALLOWANCES: All seams 0.7 cm. Hem allowance for the garment bottom and sleeve - 2 cm. ATTENTION! FIRST, PRINT OUT THE PAPER PATTERNS AND LAY THEM OUT ON THE FABRIC WIDTH (fabric width can be from 90 cm to 150 cm) TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH MATERIAL YOU WILL NEED (do not forget to account for paired and symmetrical pieces). WHEN STITCHING PIECES, PAY ATTENTION TO THE NOTCHES - THEY MUST MATCH! Note! Markings on the patterns are made on the right side.

  • From main fabric:
    • Back – 1 piece with fold
    • Front – 1 piece
    • Collar – 1 piece
    • Sleeve — 2 pieces
    • Flap — 1 piece
    • Facing — 1 piece

Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are stitched with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim allowances to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also stitch pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread overlock machine.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch darts on the front pieces, trim allowances with an overlock. Lay and secure pleats according to markings. Fold the flap in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Attach the flap to the front, clipping the front at the corners. Start and end the stitch strictly along the marked pocket opening line. Press the faux pocket.
  2. Place the facing under the flap. Serge the three inner sides of the facing, front, and flap simultaneously.
  3. Stitch darts on the back. Trim depths with an overlock and press towards the center.
  4. Stitch shoulder seams. Serge allowances and press towards the back. Stitch the collar into a ring, press the allowance open. Fold the collar in half lengthwise and press. Attach the collar to the neckline. Serge the allowance.
  5. Set the sleeve into the open armhole.
  6. Stitch side seams, simultaneously with sleeve seams. Attention: make sure the flap fold does not get caught under the side seam stitching. Serge allowances and press towards the back.
  7. Serge the bottom edge of the garment and sleeve. Press the bottom hem to the wrong side and topstitch.
  8. Sew buttons onto the flap.
