From main fabric:
- Center back – 2 pieces
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Center front – 2 pieces
- Side front – 2 pieces
- Collar – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Pocket – 2 pieces
From lining fabric:
- Center back – 2 pieces
- Side back – 2 pieces
- Center front – 2 pieces
- Side front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- Center front – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Collar – 1 piece
ATTENTION: Front and back lining pieces are cut according to the main fabric patterns, subtracting the width of the front facings and back neckline facing, respectively.
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces. Also, fuse interfacing to the hem allowance of the garment and sleeve hems. Fuse interfacing to the upper edge of the pocket.
- Stitch the center back seam. Press seams open. Stitch the back princess seams, press seams towards the center.
- Stitch the front princess seams, press seams towards the center.
- Overlock the side and bottom edges of the pocket. Fold the top allowance of the pocket twice by 1 cm and topstitch. Fold the side and bottom allowances inwards and press. Place pockets on the front according to markings and topstitch.
- Stitch and press open the side and shoulder seams of the jacket.
- Fold collars right sides together and stitch along the ends and outer edge. Clip seam allowances at curves, trim at corners. Turn collar right side out, smooth, and press. Attach collar to the neckline.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder seams of the back neckline facing and front facings. Place front facings and back neckline facing right sides together with the front, and stitch along the front edge and neckline. Trim seam allowances at corners, clip at curves. Turn facings right side out, smooth seams, and press.
- Stitch and press open the sleeve seam. Set sleeves into armholes, easing the sleeve cap according to notches. Insert shoulder pads, attach sleeve head rolls.
- On the lining fabric pieces, stitch seams and set sleeves, leaving an opening in the front left sleeve seam. Attach the lining to the inner edges of the front facings and neckline facing. Press the bottom hem of the garment to the wrong side. Attach the lining to the bottom of the garment and sleeve hems. Turn the jacket right side out through the opening. Close the opening.
- On the right front, overcast buttonholes, and on the left front, sew on buttons.
