CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
  • Back - 1 piece on fold
  • Front - 1 piece
  • Sleeve – 2 pieces
  • Back neckline facing — 2 pieces
  • Front neckline facing — 2 pieces
• From fusible interfacing:
  • Back neckline facing — 1 piece
  • Front neckline facing — 1 piece

Sewing Instructions

1. Interface the designated pieces with fusible interfacing.
2. Stitch the bust darts, press the allowances upwards.
3. Fold and stitch the pleats on the front, press the allowances to the left side.
4. Attach the back neckline facing to the back, press the allowances towards the facing. Attach the front neckline facing to the front, press the allowances towards the facing.
5. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press the allowances towards the back and serge.
6. Stitch the shoulder seams of the inner facings, press the allowances open. Serge the outer edge. Place the facings and the garment right sides together and stitch the neckline edge. Clip the allowances, turn the facing to the wrong side, and topstitch into the seam of the outer facing attachment.
7. Stitch the sleeve seam, press the allowances towards the back and serge. Set the sleeves into the armholes, matching notches, press the allowances and serge.
8. Along the bottom edge of the garment and the sleeve hem, stitch a gathering line with loosened tension and gather. Bind the bottom edge of the garment and sleeves with bias tape.
