Cutter's Must
- From main fabric:
- Back – 1 piece on fold
- Front – 2 pieces
- Sleeve – 2 pieces
- Front facing – 2 pieces
- Back neckline facing – 1 piece
- From fusible interfacing: front facing, back neckline facing.
Sewing Instructions
When stitching pieces, pay attention to the notches - they must match!
- Fuse interfacing to the designated pieces. Along the back neckline, apply an additional fusible stay tape.
- Stitch darts on the front pieces. Trim the depth with an overlock stitch and press downwards.
- Stitch the collar seam. Press the seam allowance open. Stitch and press open the jacket shoulder seams. Finish the seam allowances. Clip the shoulder seam allowance on the front and attach the collar to the back neckline. Press the seam allowance open.
- Stitch and press open the shoulder edges of the back neckline facing and the front facing. Stitch the collar edge on the front facing. Press the seam allowance open. Clip the corner on the front facing and attach the collar to the facing neckline. Press the seam allowance open. Finish the outer edges.
- Set sleeves into armholes, matching notches. Finish the seam allowances.
- Stitch side seams simultaneously with the sleeve seam. Finish the seam allowances and press towards the back.
- Fold the jacket and front facing with wrong sides together, pin, aligning the outer edges. Stitch along the front edge, bottom, and collar. Turn the front facing and facing inwards, press. Secure the collar seam allowances together. Attach the facing to the shoulder seams.
- Finish the bottom edge. Fold the allowance inwards and topstitch.
- On the wrong side, sew a cord for tying the inner. Attach the decorative fastener.
