- Upper SLEEVE part - 2 QTY
- Lower SLEEVE part - 2 QTY
- From LINING fabric:
- BACK PANEL - 2 QTY
- SIDE PANEL – 2 QTY
- FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
- Upper SLEEVE part - 2 QTY
- Lower SLEEVE part - 2 QTY
- From FUSIBLE INTERFACING: FRONT PANEL, COLLAR stand.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the COLLAR stand and FRONT PANEL pieces with FUSIBLE INTERFACING. (Heat-adhesive interfacings are pressed onto the wrong side of the piece with a strongly heated iron).
- Stitch darts on the FRONT PANEL.
- Press the upper edges of the pockets to the wrong side, fold and topstitch.
- Press the open edges of the pockets to the wrong side, place the pockets on the FRONT PANELs according to the markings and topstitch.
- Attach the SIDE PANEL to the FRONT PANEL.
- Stitch the center back seam.
- Stitch the back princess seam up to the vent, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL.
- Fold the left vent SEAM ALLOWANCE to the right side of the garment, stitch along the hemline, turn out and press.
- Topstitch the left side of the vent.
- Fold the hem of the right vent part to the right side of the garment, stitch along the edge of the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE, turn out and press.
- Fold the vent onto the SIDE PANEL and lay a diagonal securing stitch across the top of the vent.
- Press the bottom hem to the wrong side.
- Stitch shoulder seams.
- Stitch the upper and lower SLEEVE parts up to the NOTCH.
- Place a ZIPPER under the slit and attach.
- Set the SLEEVES into the armholes.
- Press hem SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side.
- Sew shoulder pads.
- Attach the FACINGS to the FRONT PANEL LINING and stitch the LINING pieces as for the main garment pieces.
- Attach the lower COLLAR stand into the neckline of the main garment, right sides together.
- Attach the upper COLLAR stand into the neckline of the LINING.
- Place the main garment and LINING right sides together and stitch all around in a single seam: 3 cm of the lower edges of the FACINGS along the hemline of the FRONT PANEL, the front edges, and the COLLAR.
- Turn out and press.
- Secure the lower edge of the upper COLLAR stand to the back neckline of the main garment.
- Turn under the lower edge of the jacket LINING and SLEEVES and sew with blind stitches to the hem edge of the main garment, to the vent edges and SLEEVES.
- On the left FRONT PANEL and COLLAR stand, overcast buttonholes.
- On the right FRONT PANEL, sew on buttons.
