• FROM FUSIBLE INTERFACING: lower collar stand.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the lower collar stand.
2. Stitch the center back seam, press SEAM ALLOWANCES to the left and overcast. Stitch the back relief seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and overcast.
3. Stitch and press bust darts on the FRONT PANEL downwards, stitch and press waist darts on the FRONT PANEL towards the center.
4. Overcast the upper curved edge of the FRONT PANEL and the lower curved edge of the upper FRONT PANEL. Tip: To prevent stretching of curved edges, fuse the stitching lines with fusible web. Place the FRONT PANEL with the upper part right sides together and stitch the curved edge from the mark to the side seam (the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the lower edge of the upper FRONT PANEL is 0.5 cm wider). Press SEAM ALLOWANCES downwards. Topstitch decorative TRIM STRIP along the curved edge of the FRONT PANEL, folding back the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the upper FRONT PANEL.
5. Stitch the shoulder seams of the dress, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overcast.
6. Overcast the SEAM ALLOWANCES of the side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Stitch the left side seam from the top to the ZIPPER mark and from the ZIPPER mark to the slit. Press the side seam SEAM ALLOWANCES open, press the edges of the ZIPPER opening and the lower slit. Place the ZIPPER underneath the slit so that the teeth are not visible, and stitch. Stitch the right side seam from the top to the NOTCH, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slit.
7. Place the collar stand pieces right sides together and stitch along the upper edge, starting and ending the stitch precisely at the marked line for attaching the COLLAR to the neckline. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at the curves, turn the collar stand right side out, and press. Attach the outer collar stand to the neckline, and fold under the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the inner collar stand and topstitch into the seam of the outer collar stand. Topstitch decorative TRIM STRIP onto the collar stand along the upper edge.
8. Stitch the SLEEVE seams, press SEAM ALLOWANCES and overcast. Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Press and overcast the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Fold the SLEEVE hem twice to the wrong side and topstitch. Topstitch decorative TRIM STRIP along the lower edge.
9. Topstitch the slit SEAM ALLOWANCES onto the dress. Fold the dress hem twice and topstitch.
10. Sew a loop onto the upper FRONT PANEL between the neckline and the mark, and a hook onto the FRONT PANEL. Sew decorative loops and buttons onto the FRONT PANEL and its upper part.
