- From main fabric:
- 1. Center part with placket - 2 QTY
- 2. Side part with placket - 2 QTY
- 3. FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
- 4. Side FRONT PANEL - 2 QTY
- 5. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- 6. COLLAR – 2 QTY
- 7. CUFF – 2 QTY
- 8. BACK neckline FACING – 1 QTY
- From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
- 1. COLLAR – 1 QTY
- 2. One-piece front FACING – 2 QTY
- 3. BACK neckline FACING – 1 QTY
Sewing Instructions
- Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the front FACINGS, BACK neckline FACING, and upper COLLAR.
- Place the upper COLLAR and lower COLLAR right sides together. Stitch the ends and outer edge of the COLLAR. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Turn the COLLAR right side out, shape, and press.
- Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge.
- Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the dart folds towards the center. Stitch the princess seams and the center back seam. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge. Press the center seam to the left side and serge.
- Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
- Press the front FACINGS along the fold line. Attach the BACK FACING to the one-piece front FACINGS. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Serge the outer edge of the front FACINGS and BACK FACING.
- Attach the COLLAR to the neckline, inserting it between the garment and the FACING. Turn the COLLAR to the right side and press. Secure the FACING with hand stitches at the center back seam and shoulder seams. Topstitch along the front edge.
- Stitch, press, and serge the SLEEVE seams. Fold the CUFF piece in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch the short sides. Start and end the seam precisely at the seam where the CUFF will be attached to the SLEEVE. Turn the CUFFs right side out, press. Attach the upper CUFF to the bottom of the SLEEVE, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the CUFF. Fold the inner CUFF allowance inwards and topstitch into the seam of the upper CUFF attachment. Set the SLEEVE into the armhole. Serge and press the seam.
- Serge the hem of the garment, press it to the wrong side, and topstitch.
- On the right FRONT PANEL, make buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons.
