  • SLEEVE (front part) – 2 QTY
  • From LINING fabric:
  • FRONT PANEL (center) - 1 QTY
  • BACK PANEL (side) – 2 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL (center) - 1 QTY
  • FRONT PANEL (side) – 2 QTY

LINING pieces are cut 5 cm shorter than main fabric pieces.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Stitch the princess seams of the BACK PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge. On both center BACK PANEL pieces, reinforce the vent on the wrong side. On the right side, mark the center seam line (vent fold line). Serge the center BACK PANEL seam separately on each piece, serging the vent simultaneously. Stitch the center BACK PANEL seam from the top edge to the vent edge. Clip the vent SEAM ALLOWANCE corner on the right part. Press the center seam SEAM ALLOWANCES open. Press the right side of the vent 1 cm and topstitch. Press the vent SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the left side and topstitch along the top with a machine stitch.
  2. Stitch the princess seams and the center seam of the BACK PANEL LINING. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES and serge. Cut out the vent opening, serge the edge. Press the bottom edge to the wrong side twice and topstitch. Place the LINING on the main BACK PANEL piece with wrong sides facing, secure along the edges, and then treat as one piece.
  3. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge. Stitch the princess seams of the FRONT PANEL LINING, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center and serge. Place the LINING on the main piece with right sides facing, mark the slit line and stitch along it 0.1 cm to the left and right, tapering to nothing at the bottom point. Cut the slit between the stitches, turn out the LINING, and straighten. Press the bottom edge to the wrong side twice and topstitch. Secure along the edges with the main piece and then treat as one piece.
  4. Attach the back parts of the SLEEVES to the BACK PANEL. Attach the front parts of the SLEEVES to the FRONT PANEL. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the SLEEVE and serge.
  5. Stitch the top edges of the SLEEVES. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  6. Serge the bottom edges of the left SLEEVE and the left side edges. Stitch the SLEEVE from the bottom to the top ZIPPPER mark and from the bottom mark to the bottom edge of the dress, press SEAM ALLOWANCES open, pressing the slit for the ZIPPPER. Insert the ZIPPPER. Stitch the bottom edge of the right SLEEVE and the right side seam with one stitch, press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and serge.
  7. Cut a BIAS BINDING strip 2.5 cm wide and 5 cm long. Fold the strip in half lengthwise with right sides facing and stitch 0.3 cm from the fold. Trim SEAM ALLOWANCES close to the stitching, turn out the strip and straighten the loop. Form a loop according to the button. Fold the COLLAR in half lengthwise with right sides facing and stitch the ends and the inner edge up to the long mark, inserting the loop. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked COLLAR attachment seam line. Clip SEAM ALLOWANCES at the mark. Turn out the finished COLLAR, straighten the corners, and press. Attach the outer edge of the COLLAR to the neckline, press the seam towards the COLLAR. Turn under the open inner edge of the COLLAR and topstitch into the COLLAR attachment seam. Put on the dress, form the jabot, secure the pleats together. Sew the button under the COLLAR corresponding to the loop.
  8. Serge the SEAM ALLOWANCE of the bottom edge of the garment and the SLEEVE, press to the wrong side, and hem with blind stitches.
