  • From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
  • 1. FACING – 2 QTY

Attention: Pattern pieces made of knit fabrics in this model are stitched on a straight stitch machine. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle or on a coverstitch machine to maintain elasticity.

Sewing Instructions

  1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the FACINGS.
  2. Finish the edge of the front opening and the bottom line with the FACING. Stitch from the top point of the front opening to the relief seam. Turn the FACING to the right side and press. Stitch the relief seams on the FRONT PANEL. The hem of the side FRONT PANEL is attached to the FACING. Press the seams towards the center, overcast, and topstitch 0.5-0.7 cm from the seam.
  3. Stitch the relief seams on the BACK PANEL. Press the seams towards the center seam, overcast, and topstitch. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam to the left side, overcast, and topstitch.
  4. Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press the seams towards the BACK PANEL and overcast. Topstitch the shoulder seams 0.5-0.7 cm from the seam.
  5. On the hood, mark and overcast buttonholes, after fusing the buttonhole area with FUSIBLE INTERFACING. Stitch the hood pieces. Press the seam to the left side, overcast, and topstitch. Overcast the hem of the hood, fold, and topstitch. Attach the hood to the neckline. At the shoulder seam, clip the seam. Overcast the seam at the level of the back neckline and topstitch to the neckline. Overcast the shoulder edge of the FACING. Finish the front neckline with the FACING.
  6. Stitch the elbow seam of the SLEEVE. Overcast the seam, press, and topstitch to the upper SLEEVE. Stitch the front seam of the SLEEVE. Overcast the seam and press towards the upper part. Set in the SLEEVES. Press the seam towards the SLEEVE and overcast.
  7. Overcast the bottom of the garment, simultaneously overcasting the outer edge of the FACING. Attach the shoulder edge of the FACING to the shoulder seam. Press the bottom hem to the wrong side. Topstitch 3.5 cm from the edge of the FACING and the bottom hem. Start and end the seam at the shoulder seam.
  8. Overcast the top edge of the pocket, fold, and topstitch. Press the side and bottom edges of the pocket inwards. Mark the pocket placement on the FRONT PANEL and topstitch the pocket.
  9. On the right FRONT PANEL, overcast buttonholes; on the left, sew on buttons. Thread a cord through the hood and insert cord ends.
