Ruffle Trim Sundress with Center Front Panel

CUTTER'S MUST

1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
3. FLOUNCE – 2 QTY
4. TRIM STRIP – 1 QTY

1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
2. FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
• LINING pieces are cut according to the main pattern pieces. LINING is 4 cm shorter than the main garment.

Sewing Instructions

1. Mark and stitch bust and waist darts on the FRONT PANEL. Press bust darts upwards, waist darts towards the center of the FRONT PANEL.
2. Mark and stitch darts on the BACK PANEL. Press darts towards the center of the BACK PANEL.
3. Stitch the center back seam, press open and serge.
4. Serge one long edge of the FLOUNCE with a rolled hem. Along the raw edge of the FLOUNCE, sew a basting stitch and gather. Place the FLOUNCE and TRIM STRIP right sides together and stitch, aligning the edges beforehand.
5. Mark the position of the TRIM STRIP on the FRONT PANEL. Press the edges of the TRIM STRIP, along with the attached FLOUNCES, 1 cm inwards. Stitch the TRIM STRIP to the FRONT PANEL.
6. Serge the edges of the left side seam. Stitch the left side seam from the NOTCH for the ZIPPER to the bottom. Press the seam open. Insert the ZIPPER. Stitch the right side seam and shoulder seams.
7. Stitch the LINING pieces. Serge and press the seams.
8. Finish the neckline edge with a FACING. Clip the seam, turn right side out and press. Finish the armhole in two steps: first the FRONT PANEL armhole, then the BACK PANEL armhole. Attach the section of the left side seam to the ZIPPER tape.
9. Hem the bottom of the LINING by folding twice by 1 cm and topstitching. Serge the bottom of the main garment with a narrow rolled hem.
