CUTTER'S MUST

• From main fabric:
1. Upper FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
2. Middle FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
3. Lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
4. Upper BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
5. Middle BACK PANEL – 1 QTY
6. Lower BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
7. Strap – 2 QTY
• From LINING fabric:
1. LINING for upper FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY (cut according to main fabric pieces)
2. LINING for upper BACK PANEL – 1 QTY (cut according to main fabric pieces)
3. LINING for lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY on fold
4. LINING for lower BACK PANEL – 2 QTY

The LINING can be cut from the main fabric.

Sewing Instructions

1. Fold the strap in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch along the long side. Turn right side out, smooth, and press.
2. Stitch the SIDE SEAMS of the upper BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL on both the main fabric and LINING pieces. Press SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL. Attach the straps to the main fabric pieces. Fold the straps down, place the main fabric and LINING pieces of the upper sections right sides together, and stitch the upper edge of the BACK PANEL, the armhole edge, the upper edge of the FRONT PANEL, and the wrap edge. Clip the SEAM ALLOWANCES at curves, turn pieces right side out, and press. Then, secure the main fabric and LINING pieces together and treat as a single-layer piece.
3. On the upper FRONT PANEL pieces, along the lower edge between the NOTCHES, sew a gathering stitch with loose tension and gather.
4. Along the upper edge of the lower FRONT PANEL, sew a gathering stitch with loose tension and gather. Stitch the middle and lower FRONT PANEL pieces together. Overcast the seam and press towards the middle section.
5. Stitch the center seam of the lower BACK PANEL. Overcast the seam and press. Along the upper edge of the lower BACK PANEL, sew a gathering stitch with loose tension and gather. Stitch the middle and lower BACK PANEL pieces together. Overcast the seam and press towards the middle section.
6. Stitch the side edges. Overcast the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
7. Stitch the LINING pieces. Overcast the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
8. Attach the upper part of the dress to the middle part. Fold the upper part down to the right side of the dress. Place right sides together with the LINING, aligning the upper edge of the LINING with the seam joining the upper and middle main fabric pieces. Attach the LINING to the dress in the seam joining the upper and middle parts. Overcast the seam and press towards the middle part. Turn the pieces right side out.
9. Overcast the lower edge of the garment. Fold the SEAM ALLOWANCES to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
10. Stitch with elastic thread into the seam joining the middle parts with the lower FRONT PANEL and BACK PANEL parts along the entire length of the edge, along the upper edge of the BACK PANEL between the straps, and into the seam joining the upper and middle BACK PANEL parts at the level between the straps.
