Sewing Instructions

  1. Overlock the center back edges of the Center Back pieces. Insert the zipper from the top edge to the notch. Fold the lower end of the zipper out of the way and stitch the center back seam from the notch downwards. Press seam allowances open.
  2. Stitch the darts on the Center Front, starting exactly at the marked center seam line, press the dart allowances upwards. Stitch the center front seam, press seam allowances to the left side and overlock.
  3. Stitch the princess seams of the front and back, press seam allowances towards the center and overlock.
  4. Stitch the side and shoulder seams, press seam allowances of the side seams towards the back and overlock, press seam allowances of the shoulder seams open.
  5. Stitch the lining pieces similarly to the main fabric pieces. Place the lining and main fabric right sides together and stitch the neckline edge and armhole edges. Press seam allowances, clip curves. Turn the dress right side out, baste, press. Fold under the center back seam allowances of the lining and slipstitch them to the zipper tape. Fold the lower edge of the lining twice to the wrong side and topstitch.
  6. Press the hem allowance (3 cm) to the wrong side, turn the raw edge under by 1 cm and topstitch.
