Short Sleeve Draped Front Sheath Dress

• From main fabric:
• 1. Upper FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
• 2. FRONT PANEL yoke – 1 QTY
• 3. Lower FRONT PANEL – 1 QTY
• 4. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
• 5. BACK PANEL yoke – 2 QTY
• 6. Lower center BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
• 7. Lower side BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
• 8. Front SLEEVE part – 2 QTY
• 9. Back SLEEVE part – 2 QTY

Sewing Instructions

1. Mark and stitch darts on the lower FRONT PANEL. Press darts towards the center of the FRONT PANEL. Mark and stitch darts on the BACK PANEL. Press darts towards the center of the BACK PANEL. Place the yoke and BACK PANEL right sides together and stitch the edges. Overcast the seam and press towards the yoke.
2. Stitch the lower center and side BACK PANELs. Press the seam towards the center of the BACK PANEL and overcast. Attach the lower BACK PANEL to the BACK PANEL yoke. Overcast the seam and press towards the yoke. Overcast the center edges of the BACK PANEL. Stitch the center seam up to the NOTCH for the ZIPPER. Press the seam open, pressing the ZIPPER opening. Insert the ZIPPER.
3. Insert the back SLEEVE part into the armhole of the BACK PANEL. Overcast the seam and press towards the SLEEVE. Stitch the upper edge of the SLEEVE. Overcast and press towards the BACK PANEL. Fold the BIAS BINDING in half lengthwise, right side out, and press. Place the TRIM STRIP with the neckline edge right sides together and FACE, fold the TRIM STRIP to the wrong side and topstitch along the fold to the main piece. Press the seam.
4. Along the lower edge of the upper FRONT PANEL, mark and create pleats. Direct the pleat depths towards the center of the FRONT PANEL. Place the upper FRONT PANEL pieces right sides together and FACE along the upper edge.
5. Insert the front SLEEVE part into the armhole of the FRONT PANEL, inserting the SLEEVE between the upper FRONT PANEL pieces. Turn right side out and press.
6. Place the FRONT PANEL yoke with the upper FRONT PANEL right sides together and attach. Overcast the seam and press towards the yoke.
7. Attach the lower FRONT PANEL to the FRONT PANEL yoke. Overcast the seam and press towards the yoke.
8. Stitch the side edges simultaneously with the lower SLEEVE edge. Overcast the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
9. Press the hem allowance of the dress and the SLEEVE hem allowance to the wrong side, fold inwards another 1 cm and topstitch.
10. Create pleats on the upper FRONT PANEL and secure them with a brooch.
