Princess Seam Blouse with Puffed Sleeves

• From FUSIBLE INTERFACING:
• 1. COLLAR – QTY 1

Sewing Instructions

1. Fuse FUSIBLE INTERFACING to the plackets, upper COLLAR, and both stands.
2. Place the upper COLLAR and lower COLLAR right sides together. Stitch the ends and the outer edge of the COLLAR. Trim the SEAM ALLOWANCES. Turn the COLLAR right side out, shape, and press. Place the stand pieces right sides together, insert the prepared COLLAR between them, align the NOTCHES, and stitch, simultaneously stitching the ends of the stand. Start and end the stitching strictly at the marked line of the stand attachment seam. Turn the finished COLLAR right side out and press.
3. Stitch the darts on the side FRONT PANEL. Press the darts towards the side seam and topstitch. Stitch the princess seams on the FRONT PANEL. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center part and overcast.
4. Fold the placket in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Unfold the placket, place it right sides together with the FRONT PANEL, and attach the outer side of the placket to the FRONT PANEL. Press the seam towards the placket. Turn the inner side of the placket inwards and topstitch into the attachment seam.
5. Stitch the darts on the BACK PANEL. Press the darts towards the center seam. Stitch the princess seams on the BACK PANEL. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the center seam and overcast. Stitch the center back seam. Press the seam to the left side and overcast.
6. Stitch the shoulder and side seams. Press the SEAM ALLOWANCES towards the BACK PANEL and overcast.
7. Attach the upper stand with the COLLAR to the neckline, turn under the open edge of the lower stand, and topstitch into the attachment seam of the upper stand.
8. Stitch, press, and overcast the SLEEVE edges. Fold the CUFFS in half lengthwise, wrong sides together, and press. Unfold the CUFFS and stitch into a loop, placing the pieces right sides together. Press and overcast the seam. Fold the CUFFS along the fold line and attach to the lower edge of the SLEEVE. Overcast the seam and press upwards. Form and secure the pleats on the SLEEVE according to the markings. The inner depths of the pleats are directed towards the center of the SLEEVE. Set in the SLEEVES. Press the seam towards the armhole and overcast.
9. Overcast the hem of the garment, press to the wrong side, and topstitch.
10. On the right FRONT PANEL, overcast the buttonholes; on the left, sew on the buttons.
