- From main fabric:
- 1. BACK PANEL – 2 QTY
- 2. FRONT PANEL – 2 QTY
- 3. SLEEVE – 2 QTY
- 4. TRIM STRIP - 2 QTY
- 5. Back neckline FACING – 1 QTY
Tip: Cut pieces from knit fabrics are sewn with a special elastic or narrow zigzag stitch. When serging, trim SEAM ALLOWANCES to 0.8 cm. The hem allowance is topstitched with a twin needle to maintain elasticity. You can also sew pieces directly on a 3- or 4-thread serger.
Sewing Instructions
- Reinforce the back neckline FACING with FUSIBLE INTERFACING.
- Stitch the center back seam of the BACK PANEL. Serge the seam and press it open. Serge the outer edge of the FACING. Stitch the back neckline. Fold the FACING to the wrong side and press.
- Fold the TRIM STRIP in half lengthwise, right sides together, and stitch from the NOTCH down the long side and then one short side. Clip the seam near the NOTCH, turn the TRIM STRIP right side out, straighten, and press.
- Serge the edge of the front opening, fold under, and topstitch. Attach the TRIM STRIP to the FRONT PANEL, serge the seam, and press towards the side seam.
- Stitch the shoulder seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL. Fold the short edges of the FACINGS inwards and secure them to the shoulder seam.
- Stitch the side seams of the BACK PANEL and FRONT PANEL. Serge the seams and press towards the BACK PANEL.
- Stitch the SLEEVE seams. Serge the seams and press.
- Set the SLEEVES into the armholes, matching the NOTCHES. Serge the seams and press.
- Serge the bottom edge of the garment and the bottom edge of the SLEEVE. Fold to the wrong side, press, and topstitch.
